In May 2024, Bottega Veneta<\/strong><\/a> officially appointed Australian actor Jacob Elordi<\/strong><\/a> as its brand ambassador: the latest in a lineage of cultural figures hand-picked by the Italian house..<\/h3>

Yet what felt like a sudden leap was in fact months in the making: Elordi\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> wardrobe, his public appearances and his affinity with the brand\u2019s signature intrecciato bags had quietly aligned long before the formal announcement.<\/h4>

The Campaign: \u201cWhat Are Dreams?\u201d<\/h3>

In November 2025, the collaboration deepened with the launch of \u201cWhat Are Dreams?\u201d,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0a campaign that blends still photography and short-film, shot entirely in black and white at the home of renowned photographer Duane Michals<\/strong><\/a> in New York.<\/h4>

Elordi<\/strong><\/a> appears in a series of surreal, enigmatic tableaux orchestrated by Michals<\/strong><\/a>, who draws from Surrealist traditions<\/strong> (echoing Giorgio de Chirico and Ren\u00e9 Magritte) and invites us into the realm of unconscious imagery<\/strong>. He even recites Michals<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 2001 poem \u201cWhat Are Dreams,\u201d<\/strong> adding a layer of poetic mystique to the fashion narrative.<\/strong><\/p>

Thus the question isn’t just \u201cWho is the face of<\/strong> Bottega<\/strong><\/a>?\u201d but \u201cWhat is the mood of Bottega<\/a> now?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>
