Folklore: Favorite People’s New Collection Inspired by Portuguese Tradition

Favorite People unveils Folklore, a collection that blends fashion and cultural heritage, celebrating the symbols, colors, and memories that shape Portuguese identity.

At the heart of this launch is an exclusive collaboration with A Vida Portuguesa, resulting in a hand-embroidered jumpsuit adorned with iconic swallows, one of Portugal’s most beloved cultural symbols.

This special piece pays tribute to the bond between past and present, turning tradition into contemporary design.

The Folklore collection features 15 different styles, including dungarees, jumpsuits, trousers, shirts, and accessories, all ethically produced in Portugal.

Prints and embroidery reinterpret classic motifs such as floral chintz, “lenços dos namorados” (lover’s handkerchiefs), and the iconic hearts of Viana.

Each piece is reimagined with a light, modern, and wearable aesthetic designed for everyday life.

The meeting of Favorite People and A Vida Portuguesa grew naturally from a shared mission: to honor Portuguese heritage.

While Favorite People is known for transforming memories into colorful, irreverent designs, A Vida Portuguesa has spent more than 15 years preserving and sharing the country’s cultural legacy.

Together, they created a garment with both meaning and longevity.

With Folklore, Favorite People strengthens its philosophy: more than fashion, the brand creates pieces that carry memories, symbols, and emotion.

This collection is an invitation to celebrate who we are, where we come from, and what we want to take with us into the future.
