Lisbon Firefighters Return as Models for the 2026 Solidarity Calendar

Lisbon’s bravest return in front of the camera for a cause that saves lives both inside and beyond the fire station.

As the year draws to a close, so returns one of Lisbon’s most heartwarming traditions: the Solidarity Calendar featuring the Bombeiros Sapadores de Lisboa, firefighters who swap their uniforms for the camera, all in the name of a good cause.

The official launch takes place on November 8 at 3:30 PM, in the Worten Square of Centro Colombo, promising an afternoon filled with community spirit, music, and meaningful purpose.

More Than a Calendar, A Tradition of Solidarity

Organized by the Associação dos Serviços Sociais do Regimento de Sapadores Bombeiros de Lisboa (ASSRSB), with the support of RSB Lisboa and Acreditar Associação de Pais e Amigos de Crianças com Cancro, this annual initiative has become a true symbol of compassion during the festive season.

The 2026 edition once again features striking images of the firefighters in action, simulating real-life rescue scenarios that highlight their teamwork, dedication, and humanity.

Priced at €10, proceeds are divided between:

  • ASSRSB (75%) – to support the purchase of new equipment and firefighter well-being activities.

  • Acreditar (25%) – to improve the quality of life of children and young people with cancer and their families.

A Day of Celebration and Community

The launch event will welcome representatives from the Lisbon City Council, Acreditar, and the Regimento de Sapadores Bombeiros, along with a special performance by the RSB Lisbon Music Band, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

Before the event, visitors can explore the “100 Years of Courage” exhibition at Centro Colombo’s Worten Square, showcasing historical firefighting equipment and vehicles from the RSB Museum, including the iconic Bomba Mateus António, a vintage hose cart, and a British water pump.

How to Get Your Calendar

The 2026 Solidarity Calendar will be available for purchase on November 8 at Centro Colombo, and from November 10 at the RSB Headquarters (Avenida de Berlim, Lisbon) or through the online form.

This initiative is not just about raising funds, it’s a celebration of courage, generosity, and community, reminding us that true heroes wear helmets, not capes.
