A festive classic with live music, dazzling dance, and winter wonder for the whole family!

Few holiday traditions feel as timeless, or as heartwarming, as The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre..

Now returning for its 28th year, Birmingham Rep’s beloved stage adaptation once again transforms London’s West End into a place of pure Christmas magic.

Running from 22 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, this is the show families return to year after year… and it’s easy to see why..

Adapted from Raymond Briggs’ iconic picture book and the film directed by Dianne Jackson, The Snowman blends live music, dance, storytelling, and theatre into a winter dreamscape.

Howard Blake’s legendary score, including the unforgettable “Walking in the Air”, is performed live, a detail that gives the show its signature emotional sparkle, especially in a year that marks the 40th anniversary of Aled Jones’ famous recording.

The production, choreographed by Robert North, directed by Bill Alexander, and designed by Ruari Murchison,  follows the enchanting story of a young boy whose snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve.

Together, they set off on an adventure to the North Pole, meeting dancing penguins, a shimmering snow princess, and Father Christmas himself.

It’s festive fantasy at its finest, and for many children, their very first introduction to dance and theatre.

This year, young performer Teddy Holton-Frances returns to share the lead role of The Boy. Audiences might recognise him from the BBC documentary The Snowman and Me, which followed Teddy and fellow young performer Phoenix Beharry from auditions to opening night.

The documentary is available to stream on BBC iPlayer, making the experience even more special for families heading to the show.

To ensure everyone can enjoy the magic, this year’s run includes a Relaxed Performance on 3 December, an Audio Described Performance on 13 December, and a Touch Tour on the same evening, making The Snowman one of the most inclusive holiday productions in London.

Whether it’s your first time or your annual family ritual, The Snowman at the Peacock Theatre is a Christmas essential: a tender, sparkling story that feels like stepping inside a snow globe.

Jazz hands, glittering gowns, and toe-tapping magic: A night of old-school glamour that makes switching off feel spectacular.

Sometimes, what parents really need is a night out that sparkles, and Top Hat at the New Wimbledon Theatre delivers that in full technicolor.

This stage adaptation of the 1935 Hollywood classic is pure escapism: witty, elegant, and brimming with energy that makes your heart skip a beat.

From the first syncopated notes of Puttin’ on the Ritz to the jaw-dropping, show-stopping finale, the production is a celebration of everything you love about musicals.

The choreography is breathtakingly precise, the costumes shimmer like a disco ball kissed by Broadway, and the live orchestra fills the theatre with the kind of timeless magic only Irving Berlin could compose.

What makes Top Hat truly special, though, is its joyful mix of romance and comedy.

It’s elegant without feeling stuffy, funny without being over-the-top, and carries enough heart to remind you why evenings out matter.

For parents juggling life, work, and the whirlwind of family, this is the perfect escape, a chance to dress up, let go, and just enjoy yourself.

Playing now at the New Wimbledon Theatre in London, Top Hat isn’t just a show, it’s a mini-vacation for your mind and spirit.

Why Parents Will Love It:

  • Pure Escapism: Leave the stress at the door.

  • Music & Dance Galore: Iconic songs, toe-tapping choreography, and a live orchestra.

  • Old-School Glamour: Sparkling costumes, elegant sets, and that classic Broadway shine.

  • Laugh, Smile, Repeat: Witty, charming, and uplifting from start to finish.

Call to Action:

Book your tickets, grab a cocktail, and step into a night where the world slows down, and the glitter never fades.

Top Hat at New Wimbledon Theatre: your next unforgettable parents’ night out.

Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake is unlike any ballet you’ve seen before: bold, powerful, and full of surprises.

From the moment the lights went down, the audience was hooked..

No words were spoken, yet none were needed.

Every gesture, look, and movement told the story with raw emotion pulling in children and adults alike.

The swans, portrayed entirely by male dancers, were fierce, untamed, and commanding.

Their presence electrified the stage with a mix of strength, wildness, and vulnerability.

Bourne’s reinterpretation brings a sharp edge while retaining moments of tenderness and breathtaking beauty.

The set and lighting design transported us seamlessly between glittering palaces and dreamlike lakes, each scene as enchanting as the last.

Of course, Tchaikovsky’s legendary score was the heartbeat of the performance, shifting between haunting softness and thrilling intensity.

Combined with the choreography, it created moments of pure theatrical magic.

This Swan Lake has it all: charm, elegance, drama, and creativity.

It’s daring, moving, unforgettable and a brilliant night out for families and theatre lovers who want to experience live performance at its very best.

On until 4th October at New Wimbledon Theatre, London.

A new series of playful wellness events introduces kids to the beauty of slowing down, breathing deeply, and finding calm in movement.

In a world where childhood often feels just as fast-paced as adulthood, finding stillness can be a rare gift.

That’s what makes this new project in Los Angeles so special: a series of mindful events designed exclusively for children, offering them the chance to pause, reconnect, and discover that mindfulness can be both joyful and fun.

The first gathering unfolded in the serene Topanga Canyon Oasis, a lush corner of LA where nature sets the rhythm.

Here, children were welcomed with yoga mats, each paired with a soft plush toy, instantly creating a safe and comforting space.

Led by instructor Roxy Gordon, the session blended playful poses, calming exercises, and gentle breathing techniques.

For many of the little ones, it was their very first step into mindfulness, approached with curiosity, laughter, and ease.

Parents watched as subtle shifts emerged: brighter moods, improved focus, and a budding sense of emotional resilience.

The children left not only calmer, but carrying a newfound awareness of their bodies and minds: a gift that extends far beyond the yoga mat.

Founded by Anna Pagava, the project is more than a single event.

It’s an ongoing journey that will weave together activities designed to nurture creativity, calmness, and emotional intelligence.

From yoga and guided breathing to playful props and mindful storytelling, each gathering is crafted with one goal in mind: to give kids the tools to grow into their world with balance and joy.

In a world of quick texts and endless scrolling, this little box of questions might just be the most powerful thing you bring to the table!

Born out of a shared passion for meaningful conversations, The Ask Game is a beautiful creation by Portuguese siblings Filipa and Nuno Cardoso.

It’s simple in format, yet transformative in practice: a card game designed to spark real connection.

What Is The Ask Game?

At first glance, it’s just a stack of cards, but each one holds a thoughtful question designed to open up new layers of understanding, laughter, and empathy.

Some are light and playful like: “What’s a weird food combo you secretly love?” ; others go deeper: “When did you last feel truly seen?”

Together, they create space for vulnerability and joy, for listening without judgment, and for discovering new things about the people you thought you already knew.

Who’s It For?

That’s the magic: everyone.

  • Play it with your partner on a cozy night in

  • Bring it out at family dinners to hear stories you’ve never heard

  • Use it with friends on road trips or beach days

  • Try it with new people at retreats, parties, or work icebreakers

The questions are designed to be age-flexible, culturally open, and emotionally intuitive.

Whether you’re 10 or 70, there’s always a way in.

Made With Heart (and Brains) in Portugal

Creators Filipa and Nuno built this game not just as a project, but as a reflection of what they believe the world needs right now: slowness, depth, and intentional connection.

After years of seeing people feel more isolated, distracted, or emotionally distant, even from those closest to them, they set out to create something that could bridge that gap.

No screens, no scripts, just a human-centered way to be seen and heard.

Why People Love It

  • It’s conversation, but better: No small talk, just the good stuff.

  • It’s never the same game twice: Every answer, mood, and moment makes it different.

  • It’s therapist-approved: Used in therapy, team-building, coaching, and education spaces to encourage trust and openness.

  • It’s beautifully designed: Minimal, clean, and portable: a coffee table staple.

How to Play

There are no complicated rules. Just pick a card and ask.

You can answer together, go around in a group, or even play solo to reflect in a journal.

If a question feels too intense? Skip it.
If it brings up something tender? Let it.

The goal isn’t to win. The goal is to feel something.

Bonus Tip: Keep a deck in your bag or glove box. You never know when a conversation might change everything.

In a time when connection feels more fragile than ever, The Ask Game brings us back to what matters: honest words, open hearts, and the kind of togetherness you can’t fake.

So the next time you’re stuck on what to say or tired of shallow conversations, just ask:

“Wanna play The Ask Game?”

You might be surprised what comes up.

Ever wonder why you keep rewatching 10 Things I Hate About You when the world is burning? Or why you can’t sleep without a psychological thriller on in the background?

Well, it turns out your go-to movie genre says way more about you than you’d like to admit.

It’s not just taste, it’s emotional language, escapism style, and maybe even unresolved trauma..

Let’s break it down (and gently psychoanalyze you while we’re at it).

ROM-COMS: The Idealist in Designer Sunglasses

You believe in love like it’s your religion.

You’re a mix of hopeless romantic and chaotic best friend energy.

Your girl group chat is titled something like “Hot Girls with Attachment Issues” and you cry during airport reunions, even if it’s not your flight.

Core trait: Emotionally brave. You know love is messy and still chase it.

Movie Vibes: Notting Hill, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, When Harry Met Sally..

HORROR: The Unbothered Softie

If horror is your genre of choice, chances are you’re way more chill in real life than people expect.

You use fear as therapy.

You like your emotions intense, fast-paced, and over in 90 minutes.

You probably had a Tumblr phase, love Halloween more than your birthday, and find comfort in chaos.

Core trait: Quietly resilient. You stare your demons straight in the face (on screen).

Movie Vibes: Hereditary, Get Out, The Witch..

FANTASY: The Escapist with a God Complex

Let’s be real, you’ve definitely whispered “I was born in the wrong world” at least once.

You crave purpose, magic, and metaphors.

You daydream in 4K and probably even have a favorite sword.

You romanticize everything, even your morning coffee.

Core trait: Imaginative, sensitive, possibly immortal in a past life.

Movie Vibes: The Lord of the Rings, Pan’s Labyrinth, Everything Everywhere All at Once..

DRAMA: The Main Character, Obviously

Your life isn’t a mess, it’s a narrative arc.

You experience feelings at full volume and never do anything halfway.

You love depth, complexity, and Oscar-worthy performances because you see yourself in every tortured protagonist.

Therapy? Been there, done that. More than once.

Core trait: Emotionally intense, endlessly self-aware.

Movie Vibes: Marriage Story, Call Me By Your Name, The Whale..

COMEDY: The Existential Clown

You’re the friend who makes everyone laugh at the funeral.

Underneath the one-liners is someone who gets it, a lot more than people think.

You use humor as armor, distraction, and connection.

You’d rather laugh than cry… or at least cry while laughing.

Core trait: Smart, intuitive, secretly deep.

Movie Vibes: Superbad, Booksmart, Palm Springs..

ACTION: The Secret Softie

You like your movies like your coffee: fast, dark, loud, and a little bit reckless.

You live for adrenaline, plot twists, and well-timed explosions, but underneath it all, you love watching heroes choose to be brave.

You’re loyal, ride-or-die, and honestly? A little romantic.

Core trait: Energetic, protective, emotionally guarded.

Movie Vibes: Mad Max: Fury Road, John Wick, Baby Driver..

PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLERS: The Overthinker’s Playground

You live for mind games, unreliable narrators, and plotlines that require deeper explainations.

You’re observant, skeptical, and never take anything at face value.

In real life, you notice everything, even the way someone’s eye twitches mid-lie.

You probably don’t trust anyone. Including yourself.

Core trait: Hyper-intelligent, emotionally layered, sometimes your own worst enemy.

Movie Vibes: Gone Girl, The Sixth Sense, Prisoners..

DOCUMENTARIES: The Quiet Revolutionary

You watch docs like other people scroll on Instagram.

You’re curious, socially conscious, and probably better informed than your local government.

You believe in truth, justice, and deep dives.

You’re the friend who sends niche links at 3am.

Core trait: Thoughtful, passionate, slightly intimidating (in a good way).

Movie Vibes: 13th, Amy, My Octopus Teacher…

Movies are more than comfort, they’re reflection.

They help us make sense of who we are, who we were, and who we’re secretly hoping to become.

So next time someone asks what your favorite genre is, go ahead and give them a monologue. You’re the star of this story.

No rules, no limits: just fierce fashion chaos!

DJECO’s Modanimo game let the little ones remix animal styles into a wild (and hilarious) new world!

Fashion faux pas? Not in this house.

DJECO’s latest game, Modanimo, is here to turn your child’s style instincts (or lack thereof) into pure, playful genius.

In a world where giraffes wear pajama bottoms and gazelles sport hoodies, anything goes.

Designed for children ages 3+, Modanimo is a delightfully unhinged mix-and-match card game where little fashion lovers and animal adventurers can create hilariously mismatched characters, from head to hoof.

Think: giraffe’s legs, an elephant’s body, a gazelle’s head and a rocking a tiara and sneakers combo because… why not?

Each animal is divided into 3 separate parts – head, torso, and legs – allowing for endless combinations.

The results? Completely wacky, totally unique, and guaranteed to make everyone laugh.

But beyond the giggles, Modanimo supports creativity, decision-making, and storytelling, making it an ideal early-learning toy.

It’s also eco-friendly, made from FSC-certified cardboard and paper, so it’s good for the planet and your playroom.

Let’s just say: the fashion police won’t know what hit them.

It’s perfect for birthday gifting, rainy day fun, or screen-free playtime!

Ready to mix it up?

Moms Feelin’ Themselves (MFT) is shaking up wellness culture, one glitter-filled, joy-fueled dance floor at a time.

Transforming Moms’ Mental Health – One Glitter Bomb at a Time

What if your next night out could double as a therapy session, but with bass drops, sequins, and zero pressure to pretend your life is perfect?

That’s exactly what Moms Feelin’ Themselves (MFT) is serving up.

This bold, joy-forward movement is part dance party, part mental health revolution.

Created by moms, for moms, MFT is proof that wellness doesn’t have to be quiet, polished, or Instagram-perfect: it can be sweaty, sparkly, and deeply healing.

Meet the Movement:

MFT is a reset button for tired, touched-out moms who are so over being told to “just take a bath” for self-care.

Through in-person events that center music, movement, and community, MFT gives mothers a safe (and seriously fun) space to reconnect with their bodies and their sense of self.

At the heart of it all is The Mom Dance Party: an always-sold-out, high-energy experience where moms dance like nobody’s watching.

Think disco lights, loud music, and a flood of dopamine..

But underneath the glitter is something powerful: a science-backed approach to improving mental health and fostering connection.

“These aren’t just nights out. They’re wellness interventions, cleverly disguised as glitter-fueled raves for women who haven’t had a night to themselves in months.”

Behind the Beats:

MFT was founded by two real-life mom friends:

  • Elizabeth – a licensed psychotherapist and expert in perinatal mental health

  • Sarah – a former business strategist turned stay-at-home mom

Both had lived the chaos of modern motherhood and knew something had to change.

So they created a space where joy is the medicine – and moms are allowed to just feel themselves again.

Why It Works?

The power of this movement lies in its unapologetic joy.

By blending movement (endorphins!), connection (belonging!), and music (therapy!), MFT is more than a cute idea – it’s an evidence-based reset that leaves moms feeling energized, seen, and more themselves than they have in ages.

So the next time someone says moms need “me time,” tell them this: “We’re busy healing with glitter and a DJ.”

You’ve still got time to make this your main character month..

Blink and it’s August – but before you let July slip through your (sunscreened) fingers, we’ve got five things you need to do, try, taste, or obsess over before the month officially ghosted you.

From viral beauty to dopamine dinners, here’s your excuse to live a little louder before the calendar flips.

Book a Spontaneous Dinner at That Restaurant You’ve Wanted to Go to for a Long Time

You know the one. The place with the oysters, rosé, and sunset lighting so good it makes everyone look like they’re glowing. Or even the Asian Food one the internet won’t shut up about.

Book it. Go. Order the thing you can’t pronounce. Call it summer romance with food.

Swim Somewhere Unexpected

Not your local pool. We’re talking wild swims, rooftop dips, hidden coves, or that bougie hotel you sneak into for the view.

Water signs, this is your cue.

Start a “Just for July” Journal

One page a day. No pressure. Dump your thoughts, doodle your gelato, rate your dates, or write your future self a breakup letter to your bad habits.

It’s therapy-lite and aesthetically healing.

Wear That Outfit You Think Is “Too Much”

The micro mini. The red sunglasses. The metallic bikini. You’ve been saving it for what? A Pinterest board? July is the excuse. Don’t be shy, be iconic.

Host a Sunset Picnic (No Special Occasion Needed)

Take your dinner outside – we’re talking crusty bread, soft cheese, something bubbly, and the kind of playlist that makes strangers look over and smile.

Bring your friends, your lover, or make it a solo moment with a book and a killer outfit.

Bonus points for fairy lights, paper fans, and dancing barefoot in the grass.

July’s not over, and neither is your shot at doing something impulsive, hot, or healing.

Make it count. Then romanticize it with a blurry photo dump and a mysterious caption. (“Last few days of July felt like a movie”)

Because real main characters? They don’t wait for August.
