This summer, ZARA is partnering with New York-based brand Sea on a collection of effortlessly cool kid’s ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories that bring the label’s whimsy-filled, vintage-inspired vision to a new audience, both big and small.
Pieces include kaleidoscope-motif patchwork denim, a bomber jacket with crochet details, and track pants and shorts embroidered with lace.
There’s also a capsule of pastel and ditsy-print pajamas and a pair of mesh Mary Jane flats embellished with crystals.
The collection will officially launch on July 17th with a pop-up in South Hampton.
It will be available online and in select US and European Zara stores starting July 18th.
The campaign for Sea x Zara was shot in New York City by photographer Quentin De Briey and styled by Thistle Brown.
Sea’s founders, Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan, who grew up together in Newburgh, New York, drew inspiration for the imagery from their lifelong friendship.
Their families were very close, and the pair formed a bond early in their childhood that blossomed into a creative partnership.
They launched Sea in 2006 and have since garnered a loyal cult following of stylish women who flock to their bohemian pieces that balance romance with tomboyish energy.
The DNA of Sea is all about ease and the freedom to express, two things that should always be considered as important to a child’s wardrobe as they are to an adult’s.
Sea x Zara collection is all about that kind of curiosity and a sense of play.
With these clothes, a little one’s dressing-up box becomes a place of wonder and a place to discover personal style.
