The Wood Mini+ cot bed with junior kit in oak by Danish brand Oliver Furniture has been awarded the prestigious ‘Winner’ prize at the German Design Awards 2025 in the category of Excellent Product Design.
Established in 2012, the German Design Awards are recognized as one of the most esteemed design awards globally.
They honour outstanding contributions in product design, communication design, and architecture.
The Wood Mini+ stood out for its innovative, sustainable, and modular design tailored for modern families.
Designed to grow with the child, the Wood Mini+ seamlessly transforms from a cot to a junior bed. Its versatility extends further with the addition of a sibling kit, allowing the original bed to convert into two separate beds—a cot and a junior bed.
Additional conversion kits offer low bunk or loft configuration options, ensuring functionality and value for years.
The jury commended the Wood Mini+ for its sustainability, adaptability, and premium craftsmanship, stating:
Søren Rørbæk, founder and designer of Oliver Furniture, expressed pride in receiving the award, saying:
“This recognition validates our commitment to high quality and sustainability. We have created furniture to accompany children for many years, and the Wood Mini+ is a cornerstone of this mission. It motivates us to continue crafting timeless, innovative designs that can be passed down through generations.”
This award reaffirms Oliver Furniture’s position as a leader in Scandinavian children’s furniture design and celebrates its dedication to craftsmanship and the Scandinavian design tradition.
