Edx Education Partners with The Very Hungry Caterpillar for a New Line of Educational Toys

Edx Education, a global leader in educational toys, has announced an exciting new collaboration with The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the beloved children’s book character created by Eric Carle.

The partnership will bring to market a new line of playful learning products designed to engage young children in imaginative and hands-on education.

Inspired by Eric Carle’s colorful world, the upcoming collection blends Edx Education’s expertise in open-ended learning tools with the storytelling magic of The Very Hungry Caterpillar™.

The line is aimed at supporting child development in key areas such as creativity, literacy, sensory exploration, and fine motor skills.

Heather Welch, UK General Manager at Edx Education® and author of Happy Children Play, shared:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to collaborate with such an iconic brand. Eric Carle’s universe sparks curiosity and creativity – values that are deeply aligned with our mission. This new range has been developed to help children learn through play in joyful, inclusive, and meaningful ways.”

The upcoming collection will feature activities and tools inspired by core themes from the book, including color recognition, pattern making, storytelling, and nature exploration.

The official launch is scheduled for late 2025.

Jess Houston, Senior Licensing Manager at Penguin Ventures, added:

“This partnership brings Eric Carle’s timeless work to life in an entirely new way. Edx Education® has created a range that celebrates the wonder of childhood while supporting early learning in an accessible and playful format.”

The collaboration reflects a growing demand for educational products that fuse purposeful learning with playful experiences – particularly for preschoolers and early primary school-aged children.
