VEJA x Homecore: Where French Minimalism Meets Summer Movement

A Friendship Fueled Collaboration That Honors Simplicity, Sustainability & Summer Freedom

What happens when two decades of friendship meet minimalist French design?

You get the VEJA x Homecore collaboration: a new iteration of the Arpoador sandal, born from shared values and an enduring creative connection.

At its heart, this drop is more than just footwear: it’s a story of trust and respect between Sébastien and Ghislain, co-founders of VEJA, and Alexandre Guarneri, founder of Homecore, the French fashion label known for timeless pieces and detail-driven construction.

The Philosophy Behind the Design

Minimalist. Reversible. Thoughtfully sourced.

Homecore has been championing slow fashion for over 30 years, with many of its garments crafted using deadstock fabrics from Portuguese mills.

Since 2021, Homecore has also called Lisbon home, opening a boutique on Rua de São Bento after Alexandre fell in love with the country’s craft heritage and creative energy.

The Arpoador, VEJA’s second sandal release this season, was the natural choice for this collaboration, designed with barefoot freedom in mind, it supports natural foot movement and anatomical alignment.

A sandal that feels as good as it looks.

More than just a sandal, the VEJA x Homecore Arpoador is a tribute to connection between people, places, and purpose.

With roots in French design and a soul stitched in Portugal, this collaboration brings together conscious craftsmanship and understated style in the most effortless way.
